Underwater Wreck Survey Details: Located off the coast of northeast Scotland in the North Sea, this historic shipwreck site sits at coordinates 57 41.25 N, 1 47.731 W. Originally surveyed as an upright wreck estimated at 3500 to 4000 gross registered tons featuring torpedo damage port side amidships, modern multibeam sonar examinations using DGPS confirm the highly degraded remains lie oriented on an east-west heading at 090/270 degrees with the bow facing east. The structural dimensions of the obstruction measure approximately 123 meters in length, 33 meters in width, and a height of 9.7 meters, resting in a general seabed depth of 51.1 meters with a least depth of 41.43 meters and a localized scour measuring 2.7 meters deep extending towards 090 degrees, accompanied by a strong magnetic anomaly.
