Simplified Wreck Survey

Historical UK Hydrographic Office survey records for an underwater wreck located at coordinates 48 17.19 N, 4 50.39 W off the coast of France indicate that the obstruction was historically charted as a non-dangerous wreck on French chart 7172 in 1998. Subsequent nautical chart updates in 2002 and 2003 by the French hydrographic service removed the feature after larger scale charts showed no evidence of the obstruction. By 2008, hydrographic authorities classified the wreck record as dead and marked it for deletion, noting it may possibly be covered by an adjacent charted wreck record on French chart 7148.
