Simplified Wreck Survey

Unidentified Underwater Wreck and Obstruction at Latitude 57 29.597 N, Longitude 1 41.199 W off the coast of Scotland near Aberdeen in the North Sea. This historic underwater obstruction was originally reported as a non-submarine contact by Escort Group 17 between March and April 1945. Modern hydrographic surveys using DGPS confirm the wreck lies upright and largely intact, oriented on a 015/195 degree axis with the bow facing south. The structural description includes a length of 36 meters, a width of 10 meters, and a height of 4.9 meters, resting in a general water depth of 58.6 meters with a least multibeam depth of 53.71 meters. A 1-meter deep scour extends 4.5 meters towards 195 degrees, accompanied by a strong magnetic anomaly.
