Simplified Wreck Survey

This unidentified underwater wreck is located in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland at coordinates 58 1.766 N, 1 26.185 W. Examined during a June 2012 hydrographic survey, the site features a vessel sitting upright on the seabed with an orientation of 100/280 degrees, suspected to be a fishing vessel. The physical structure measures 21.8 meters in length, 5.9 meters in width, and stands 2.5 meters high off the seafloor. Multibeam sonar recorded a least depth of 72.48 meters over the obstruction within a general seabed depth of 75 meters. A strong magnetic anomaly confirms a metallic structure, likely welded steel. While mostly intact, the western end of the hull is collapsing and shows a 0.5-meter deep scour in the seabed. Nautical charts document this feature as a wreck at a depth of 72 meters.
