Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck of the vessel FERTILE (POSSIBLY), located off the coast of northeast Scotland in the North Sea, is positioned at coordinates 57 55.19 N, 1 29.776 W. Sunk initially in 110 meters of water, the highly degraded wreck was examined using DGPS in May 2009, revealing a least multibeam depth of 104.75 meters within a general water depth of 111 meters. The site features a 0.97-meter-deep scour all around and structural dimensions measuring 25 meters in length, 8 meters in width, and 6.3 meters in height. The remains lie on a 035/215 degree orientation with the bows pointing northeast, showing a poor magnetic anomaly and possibly resembling a rocky seabed feature.
