Surveyed on May 30, 2014, the obstruction is identified as an upright small cargo vessel, historically associated with the RVS Turoroa. The wreck measures 24.4 meters in length and 7.4 meters in width. The vessel lies on the seabed with its bows oriented at 307 degrees.
