Underwater Wreck Survey Details Position 51 57727 N 1 36798 E Located off the coast of the United Kingdom this historic shipwreck site has been extensively surveyed and monitored by the UK Hydrographic Office and Royal Navy vessels including HMS Echo and HMS Enterprise since 1972 The underwater obstruction lies in a general depth of 10 to 15 meters with a least measured multibeam depth of 61 meters and a least echo sounder depth of 50 meters recorded over the decades Subject to shifting seabed conditions and strong local currents the wreck features significant surrounding scour depths reaching up to 127 meters Divers and multibeam sonar surveys confirm the submerged vessel is well broken up and heavily degraded consisting of scattered structural framework debris measuring approximately 77 meters in length and 19 meters in width oriented along a 145 to 325 degree axis The marine site produces a strong magnetic anomaly and is frequently entangled with fishing nets and pots while displaying noticeable surface turbulence and sand plumes down-tide
