Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck located at coordinates 54 0.468 N, 6 20.835 W near Soldiers Point in Dundalk Bay, Ireland. Historically identified as two wrecks or wreckage situated near the old slipway, the site was surveyed in 1968 and noted as drying below the Mean High Water Springs (MHWS). Although previously charted as a steel feature or obstruction (STF) on nautical charts including NC 1423 and NC 1431, the site was declared dead in 2011 after being found not visible on satellite imagery. The wreckage is located approximately 345 feet at a bearing of 103 degrees from the end of the training wall at Soldiers Point.
