Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck located near the coast of Vung Tau, Vietnam, in the South China Sea at coordinates 10 18.287 N, 107 3.193 E. This underwater obstruction has a historical surveying record under UK Hydrographic Office reference H5215/58. Originally identified in 1968, the wreck position was updated in 1971 to 10 18.10 N, 107 03.26 E and classified as a dangerous wreck (DWPD). Subsequent hydrographic assessments in 2007 and 2013 indicate the site may be covered by a nearby obstruction with a depth of 9.7 meters. This data remains on file for maritime navigation and hydrographic charting purposes regarding underwater hazards in this region.
