Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater shipwreck located at coordinates 49 48.758 N, 2 51.882 W in the English Channel. This submerged wreck site, examined via DGPS and sonar survey, rests at a least echo sounder depth of 60 meters within a general depth of 66.3 meters. The vessel measures approximately 70 meters in length with a 6-meter beam and a height of 6.2 meters. The wreckage lies oriented on a 040/220 degree axis, resting on its side with a broken section still attached at the northeast end. A parallel bank of sediment approximately 1.5 meters high runs along the length of the wreck to the southeast. The site exhibits a strong magnetic anomaly and is recorded as a navigational hazard for maritime traffic.
