VESSEL, BUILT 1957 BY S.A. DES CHANTIERS REUNIS LOIRE-NORMANDY, GRAND QUEVILLY. WAS HELD AT BASRAH WHEN SHATT AL ARAB WAS CLOSED DUE TO OUTBREAK OF HOSTILITIES BETWEEN IRAQ AND IRAN IN 1980. DECLARED A WAR LOSS, VESSEL WAS REPORTED TO BE AT BASRAH FOR A TOTAL OF AT LEAST 16 YEARS. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MARITIME FOUNDATION AGENCIES (OVERSEAS) INC. (MSD)
