27.3.85 SANK AFTER DEVELOPING ENGINE TROUBLE, WHILE ON PASSAGE DUBAI TO IRAN. (LL, 27.3.85). ALLEGED TO HAVE BEEN SCUTTLED BY CREW, WITH CONNIVANCE OF OWNER, AS PART OF INSURANCE FRAUD. DIVERS FOUND HULL PLATES HAD BEEN DELIBERATELY HOLED AND MAJORITY OF INSURED CARGO HAD NOT BEEN LOADED. (LL VOL 261, P61). 22.1.88 SCUTTLING CONFIRMED. (LL, 21 & 22.1.88).
