Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the NIGHTJAR is a historically recorded underwater obstruction located off the coast of the Irish Sea near Liverpool, with approximate coordinates 53 47.313 N, 3 18.579 W. Originally reported to have sunk on March 12, 1946, approximately 15 miles north of the Bar Light Vessel, subsequent hydrographic surveys by the UK Hydrographic Office in November 1998 resulted in the site being designated as not located and disproved, and the record was amended to dead as it was never charted.
