The shipwreck of the yacht Nicolette is located at coordinates 46 33.94 N, 2 5.08 W in the Bay of Biscay. Sunk on August 9, 1970, and later located by divers at a general depth of 30 to 35 meters, the vessel is lying on its starboard side with its mast standing 10 meters high and sails still in place.

SANK FOLLOWING A COLLISION WITH FRENCH TRAWLER 'LE TEMPS DES CERISES' WHILE ON A CRUISE FROM SALCOMBE ALONG THE SW COAST OF FRANCE. 6 CREW RESCUED, 3 SANK WITH THE YACHT. 2 BODIES RECOVERED BY DIVERS. (LLOYDS, VOL 201).
