Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck of the Spanish MV Neptuno is located near the coast of Ibiza, Spain, situated in the bay between Punta Torretas and Cape Eubarco. The wreck rests at the geographical coordinates 39 3.93 N, 1 20.93 E. Survey data indicates that the site contains the remains of a cargo vessel that is badly broken up and scattered over an area approximately 200 square meters. The structural integrity of the wreck is poor, with only the engine and certain bulkhead sections remaining, protruding approximately 1 meter above the seabed. The general depth of the obstruction is about 10 meters. Historical records suggest the vessel was initially misidentified as the British vessel Trafalger, but later verified as the Spanish motor vessel Neptuno.

H1310/88/34 30.6.88 H1310/88/34 30.6.88 NOW BELIEVED TO BE WK OF SPANISH MV 'NEPTUNO'. BADLY BROKEN UP WKGE, SCATTERED OVER AREA APPROX 200MTRS SQ, WITH ONLY ENGINE AND SOME BULKHEAD SECTIONS STANDING ABOUT 1MTR HIGH. (P JENKINS). NCA, BA 1703 STS, NOT CHARTED BY PRIMARY AUTHORITY.
