Simplified Wreck Survey

UK Hydrographic Office survey records indicate a shipwreck site located at coordinates 49 27.922 N, 6 11.671 W, near the English Channel and the waters surrounding the United Kingdom. Originally reported via Decca positioning in 1977 as a reported wreck, further archival research in 1989 suggested the site could possibly be the wreckage of the vessel Nascent. However, during a hydrographic survey in 1995 conducted by HMS Roebuck, the obstruction was not located during an area search, and subsequent investigations led the wreck to be fully disproved and classified as dead.
