The wreck of the steamship NAPARIMA is historically recorded at coordinates 54 24.511 N, 0 26.103 W off the coast of North Yorkshire near Scarborough. Originally reported as a dangerous underwater obstruction, extensive hydrographic surveys conducted between 1926 and 2017 confirmed that the vessel was successfully salved and removed. Follow-up sonar and multibeam surveys, including a comprehensive 2016 MMT survey, failed to locate any remaining structural debris or underwater wreckage at this position. Consequently, the wreck of the NAPARIMA is officially classified as dead and no longer exists as a navigational hazard at these coordinates.
