Official UK Hydrographic Office and Baltic maritime records detail the survey history of the Motorowiec wreck, which was originally discovered and marked by a green conical light buoy displaying a white topmark near the site. Over subsequent years, the navigational markings and exact position of the Motorowiec obstruction underwent several official amendments by hydrographic authorities, including Leningrad and Gdynia Notices to Mariners, before the wreck was officially reported as removed and the warning buoy withdrawn from the location.
