VESSEL, OWNED BY GLOBE INTERNATIONAL CO & NASHER TRADING CO, ON PASSAGE DJIBOUTI TO JEDDAH, CARGO: 1300 CATTLE, 700 SHEEP & 118 CAMELS, SANK NEAR ZUBAIR ISLAND AFTER TAKING WATER DUE TO RIVET FAILURE. (LLOYDS VOL.219). VESSEL, BUILT 1954 BY DEUTSCHE WERFT A.G., HAMBURG. WITH EXCEPTION OF 1 CREW MEMBER, ALL OTHER CREW AND PASSENGERS WERE RESCUED BY A FRENCH WARSHIP. (MSD)
