Underwater wreck details for the Mercator (probably), located off the coast of northeast Scotland in the North Sea at coordinates 57 23.984 N, 1 36.542 W. The site was surveyed using DGPS, revealing a broken wreck lying at a 120/300 degree orientation with a strong magnetic anomaly. The main body has a least multibeam depth of 67.45 meters in a general seabed depth of 76.4 meters. Structural dimensions include a length of 113 meters, width of 14 meters, and a height of 9 meters, with the western third broken off and lying at 080/260 degrees. A scour 4.1 meters deep extends 60 meters towards 000 degrees from the east end, alongside a smaller scour at the west end.
