TORPEDOED BY E BOAT ALTHOUGH FULLY ILLUMINATED AND CARRYING FRENCH COLOURS. WAS CARRYING FRENCH NAVAL PERSONNEL WHO WERE BEING REPATRIATED FOLLOWING THE CAPITULATION OF FRANCE. 33 CREW AND 402 PASSENGERS LOST. (SIBI, DODS & LLOYDS WAR LOSSES).
