Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck of the Mascot possibly sank during World War I approximately 8 miles east of Lowestoft off the English coast in the North Sea. Located at coordinates 52 29.043 N, 1 57.755 E, this historic shipwreck has been thoroughly examined by hydrographic surveys including HMS Bulldog and Gardline. Recent multibeam sonar data confirms the wreck lies in a general depth of 29 meters with a least depth of 26.26 meters. The structural dimensions of the submerged obstruction measure approximately 38.9 meters in length, 6.2 meters in width, and a height of 3 meters, oriented on a 090/270 degree heading with no visible seabed scour.
