OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ANCHOR MARINE ACTIVITIES CO. LTD. ON PASSAGE FROM ASHDOD, ISRAEL TO LISBON. SENT OUT A DISTRESS SIGNAL DUE TO A 12DEG STBD LIST. TOWED TO GELA ROADS BY M SALVAGE TUG 'CAPO SOPRANO'. SUBSEQUENTLY SEIZED IN RESPECT OF SALVAGE CLAIM BY TUG'S OWNERS. ANCHOR CABLES PARTED DURING STORM FORCE 10 WIND. STRUCK MAIN QUAY OF GELA REFINERY & SANK IN THE ROADS. MOVED TO SHALLOWER WATERS ABOUT 1M E OF REFINERY JUNE 1992. CONSIDERED ABANDONED & NO FUTURE PROSPECTS OF REMOVAL. (MSD & LLOYDS VOL.297).
