UK Hydrographic Office wreck details for the underwater obstruction known as MARKERSDALL (PROBABLY), located in the North Sea off the coast of England near Flamborough Head at coordinates 53 56.407 N, 0 7.189 E. Historical hydrographic surveys dating from 1940 through 2016 document the structural evolution of the site. Modern multibeam sonar examinations confirm the wreck lies at a least depth of 25.22 meters within a general surrounding depth of 29 meters. The structural dimensions of the wreck measure 84.1 meters in length, 13.2 meters in width, and 4.77 meters in height, oriented on a 178/358 degree axis. Survey records describe the submerged vessel as lying on its side, largely collapsed, partially buried, and accompanied by scattered wreckage and a strong magnetic anomaly in the surrounding seabed area.
