Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck of the loaded mechanised vessel Mariyaman Jayam is located off the coast of India in the Arabian Sea at coordinates 14 17.38 N, 74 25.16 E. Originally reported sunken and dangerous to navigation, salvage operations attempted to remove the structure, leaving scattered remnants with a least depth of 1.5 meters. Over time, the wreck has disintegrated and the marking buoy has been withdrawn.

LEAST DEPTH 1.5MTRS (LAT). IT IS INTENDED TO REMOVE THE ENGINE, WHICH IS MARKED BY UNLIT BUOY. (LL 30.8.86). NCA. H2883/85 16.12.87 WRECK DISINTEGRATED. BUOY WITHDRAWN. (DD NM 509/87). NCA.
