Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck MARE JADA is a former maritime obstruction historically located off the coast of Le Verdon-sur-Mer near the Gironde Estuary in France at coordinates 45 37.357 N, 1 4.68 W. The vessel grounded at Le Verdon and subsequently sank in the vicinity of the No 13 buoy. Historical survey records indicate that the wreck site was originally marked by masts and various navigational buoys, including red conical and green conical markers, to warn passing marine traffic. Following salvage operations, the vessel was officially raised on August 28, 1972. Consequently, the wreck site and its associated navigational buoys were removed from hydrographic charts as the obstruction was cleared. The site is now officially classified as lifted, and no hazardous underwater obstruction remains at these coordinates.
