Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck MAR AUSTRAL is located at coordinates 33 21.683 S, 60 9.233 W in South America. Historical hydrographic survey records show that the site was originally marked by a green conical buoy following its casualty report in 1968, and later by a green conical light buoy with a green flashing topmark. The wreck was officially refloated, the navigational buoys were withdrawn, and the obstruction was deleted from active hazard lists following Argentine maritime notices in 1981.
