BUILT IN 1943 BY KOCKUMS M/V A/B, MALMO. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY LOBOS CIA NAV SA. PASSAGE HOUSTON FOR DAKAR. CARGO GRAIN. HAD EXPLOSION AND FIRE IN THE ENGINE ROOM. CREW ABANDONED AND VESSEL WAS GUTTED. LOCATED BY TUG ZWATRE ZEE AND TOWED TO AN ANCHORAGE OFF THE SENEGALESE COAST. LATER TOWED OUT TO SEA AND SCUTTLED. 1 MAN LOST. (MSD).
