Simplified Wreck Survey
The wreck of the Lady Mira is located at coordinates 50 35.427 N, 1 46.291 W off the coast of the Isle of Wight in the English Channel. This underwater obstruction, identified as a wooden gaff-rigged yacht, was originally surveyed in 1993. Initial survey reports identified the wreck at a depth of 23.4 meters within a general seabed depth of 26.8 meters. The surrounding seabed consists of sand, shell, and gravel. Although previously marked by buoys, a subsequent survey conducted on October 23, 2012, using a motorboat and magnetometer, failed to locate the structure. Consequently, the wreck status is now amended to dead or non-existent at this position. This data serves as an essential reference for maritime navigation and hydrographic charting in the English Channel area.
