REPD BY LOCAL LOBSTER CATCHERS TO LIE CLOSE TO THE ROCK AWASH 115DEG, 1.2C FROM SCARINISH LT AT HW. NOTHING DEFINITE FOUND. (HECLA SURVEY HOME HI 28C/69). 16.7.91 LIES IN ABOUT 10MTRS. (DIVE NW SCOTLAND). 26.7.08 WRECK HAS BEEN HEAVILY SALVAGED. LIES BETWEEN THE 2 OUTMOST ROCKS ON N SIDE ENTRANCE TO SCARINISH HBR, IN GEN DEPTH 6MTRS. ONLY METAL PLATES & GIRDERS REMAIN IN AMONGST THE KELP BETWEEN THE ROCKS. (ARGYLL SHIPWRECKS, PUBLISHED 1994). [WGD] POSN: 5629.955N, 0648.090W. 11.3.13 NOT LOCATED 7.2012 USING M/B. TOO CLOSE INSHORE TO SURVEY. (NETSURVEY, HI 1298). NCA.

EX- VIC 7 BUILT 1941 BY R DUNSTER, DONCASTER, OF STEEL CONSTRUCTION, WITH 2 CYLINDER COMPOUND ENGINE OF 130HP, SINGLE SHAFT, 1 BOILER. MACHINERY BY ELLIOT & GARROOD LTD, BECCLES. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY J L MC CORQUODALE, AYR STRANDED NEAR SCARINISH LT WHILE TRYING TO ENTER SCARINISH HBR. ABANDONED AS SALVAGE ATTEMPTS TO REFLOAT FAILED. (OFF SCOTLAND, DIVE NW SCOTLAND, ARGYLL SHIPWRECKS, & SIBI) ONE REPORT SUGGESTS VESSEL WAS SUBSEQUENTLY REFLOATED AND FINALLY BROKEN UP AT NORTH QUEENSFERRY IN 1986. (SHIPWRECKS OF THE W COAST OF SCOTLAND).
