Historical hydrographic records from the UK Hydrographic Office initially identified the site as a dangerous wreck, however, subsequent survey data confirmed the vessel was removed. Official maritime navigation notices including Hamburg NM 3537/60 and NM 2502/60 confirm that the wreck of the KNUD VILLEMOES has been cleared and deleted from nautical charts for this North Sea position.
