Wreck Details for Jane: The shipwreck known as Jane is located off the coast of Hamars Ness, Fetlar, Shetland, Scotland. The official position for the obstruction is 60 38.463 N, 0 56.617 W. Survey data indicates the vessel lies on its port side on a sandy seabed at a depth of approximately 18 to 20 meters. The least depth over the wreck is 13.87 meters. The structure measures approximately 61 meters in length, 10 meters in width, and stands 7.5 meters high. The Jane is largely intact but shows signs of degradation, with the bow area showing signs of breaking away and some debris scattered on the seabed. While parts of the structure have gradually collapsed, significant features such as the anchors, propeller, and rudder remain in place. The vessel is oriented on an axis of 040/220 degrees. Historically, the site has been subject to various surveys, with reports confirming it is not buried by sediment. This underwater site is recognized in UK Hydrographic Office records and serves as a navigation hazard.
