The shipwreck FREEDOM is located at coordinates 60 35.466 N, 0 45.622 W in the waters off the Shetland Islands. This underwater obstruction was originally a vessel reported on fire and drifting before sinking after its fishing gear became fouled on the seabed. The wreck of the FREEDOM rests on the seafloor in this region of the North Sea. Following its sinking, the site was surveyed and recorded by the UK Hydrographic Office. The structural remains are currently charted as a non-dangerous wreck, providing a reference point for mariners navigating the coastal waters near Shetland.
