PASSAGE PORTSMOUTH FOR NIGHT EXERCISES OFF ST CATHERINE'S POINT AND RETURN. SUNK IN COLLISION WITH HMS BERWICK, 9800TONS AFTER CROSSING BERWICK'S BOWS. CUT IN TWO AND SANK. 32 MEN LOST, 22 MEN RECOVERED. (D C WENDES).
