COMMISSIONED INTO THE RN 23.10.40. 4 BOILERS, S TURBINES OF 27600 SHP FOR 35.5 KNOTS, TWIN SHAFT. 4 X 4 INCH, 1 X 3 INCH AA GUNS. TORPEDOED BY U 574, EXPLODED AND SANK. WITHIN 12 MINUTES. 136 MEN LOST. HMS STORK GAINED REVENGE BY SINKING THE SUBMARINE. 28 LOST, 16 SURVIVORS. (UBOAT.NET).
