BUILT IN 1941 BY VICKERS ARMSTRONG. A 'HUNT' CLASS TYPE THREE DESTROYER. FOUR 4 INCH AA, ONE FOUR BARREL 2 POUNDER AA AND 20MM AS GUNS. TWO 21 INCH TORPEDO TUBES. 34000SHP FOR 26.5 KNOTS. TORPEDOED & SUNK BY E-BOAT WHILE ESCORTING A COASTAL CONVOY. 36 MEN LOST, 117 RECOVERED. (SRN, DODS & WARSHIP LOSSES OF WW2).
