BUILT IN 1940 BY VICKERS-ARMSTRONG. THREE DRUM BOILERS, TURBINE ENGINES OF 19,000 SHP FOR 27.5KTS. DAMAGED BY GLIDER BOMB RELEASED BY GERMAN AIRCRAFT. WAS SCUTTLED AFTER SURVIVORS RESCUED BY HM SHIPS ECHO AND BELVOIR. (DOD; ALLIED CASUALTIES, MED; WARSHIP LOSSES, WW2).
