Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the vessel HARLEY is located off the coast of Fife, Scotland, near the entrance to the Firth of Forth. The underwater obstruction is positioned at coordinates 56 18.895 N, 2 9.295 W. Historical hydrographic data from the UK Hydrographic Office previously classified this site as a submerged wreck with varying recorded depths ranging from 27 meters to 35 meters. Following a comprehensive hydrographic survey conducted by Gardline Hydro in 2008, the wreck of the HARLEY was not located by multibeam sonar equipment. Consequently, the obstruction has been officially amended to dead, removed from nautical charts, and is no longer considered a navigational hazard in these waters.
