Simplified Wreck Survey
The Gwynfaen is an intact historic shipwreck located off the coast at coordinates 52 56.911 N, 4 35.454 W. This small coastal trading vessel features a single hold with the engine and boiler located aft, though the superstructure is missing. Measuring approximately 45.7 meters in length, 10 meters in width, and standing 4.7 meters high, the wreck lies oriented northwest to southeast and carries a cargo of stone chippings. Resting in a general depth of 19 meters, the shallowest multibeam depth over the wreck is 13.9 meters with a strong magnetometer reading.
