BUILT IN 1919 BY WORKMAN, CLARK & CO. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY THE BRITISH INDIA STEAM NAVIGATION CO. TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 517NHP FOR 10 KNOTS. PASSAGE THE CLYDE FOR INDIA AS PART OF A LARGE CONVOY OF OVER 100 MERCHANTMEN, ESCORTED BY A SLOOP & 7 CORVETTES. TORPEDOED AND SANK QUICKLY. 38 MEN LOST, 38 RECOVERED. (DODS).
