Circumstances of loss
CESSNA AIRCRAFT OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES FOR SCOTLAND, WHILST ON A FLIGHT FROM EDINBURGH TO STORNAWAY, DEVELOPED ENGINE TROUBLE AND ATTEMPTED TO DIVERT TO ISLAY. AIRCRAFT DITCHED INTO SEA BETWEEN THE ISLANDS OF JURA AND COLONSAY. THREE PEOPLE ON BOARD WERE FOUND AND RESCUED.
