VESSEL, BUILT 1962 AS 'YVONNE', FRENCH FLAG, UNTIL 1968, BY SCHPS, L SMIT & ZOON, OF KINDERDIJK, NETHERLANDS. OWNED BY CIA NAV FRANCINA AT TIME OF LOSS. ON PASSAGE FROM MARSEILLES TO ALGIERS. FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE AFTER HOLD DURING ROUGH SEAS OFF MINORCA. SHORTLY AFTER, SHE WAS DRIVEN AGROUND NEAR CALA MORELL. OF 13 CREW, FOUR SURVIVED. (MSD).
