Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Flevo 4 is located at coordinates 50 37.287 N, 0 15.405 E in a general water depth of 52 meters. The vessel sank on December 14, 2021, initially reported approximately 9 miles west-southwest of the Royal Sovereign Light Vessel and 7 miles south of Beachy Head. Historical UK Hydrographic Office records note that the site was charted as a dangerous wreck with a position approximate dating back to 1921. Subsequent hydrographic surveys, including multibeam sonar data from September 2015 and searches by HMS Beagle, failed to locate or visually identify the obstruction on the seabed, resulting in the status being amended to a nondangerous wreck position approximate.
