Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck FEJIAN is located at coordinates 19 31.827 S, 169 15.903 E off the coast of Lenakel, Tanna Island, Vanuatu. This underwater wreck sits on a sandy bottom just off Black Sand Beach, positioned approximately 20 meters from the adjacent reef. The structure of the FEJIAN is significantly decomposed, though numerous metal fittings remain clearly visible, including two prominent boilers. The vessel is oriented on a 100/280 degree axis. While no official clearing depth was established, the wreck lies at a depth that does not pose a navigational hazard to small boats or vessels landing at Lenakel Anchorage or the surrounding reef area. Historical surveys indicate the site has been monitored since 1984, with wreck details documented in maritime charts including BA 1642 for Lenakel Bay.

BADLY DECOMPOSED BUT MANY METAL FITTINGS REMAIN INCLUDING THE TWO BOILERS. DIVED ON & FOUND TO LIE ON SANDY BOTTOM ALONGSIDE THE ADJACENT REEF SOME 20MTRS DISTANT. NO CLEARING DEPTH WAS OBTAINED OVER WK, BUT IT LIES AT SUCH A DEPTH THAT IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A DANGER TO BOATS LANDING ON THE BEACH OR ADJACENT REEF. (RAN HYDRO.
