Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the steamship EXPRESS is located in the Celtic Sea approximately 44 miles south-southwest of The Smalls lighthouse. Although historical survey records originally identified the wreck position at coordinates 51 03.400N, 006 11.000W, subsequent hydrographic investigations conducted by HMS FOX were unable to locate the vessel at this site. Historical reports suggest the vessel sank during World War I, though the current status of the EXPRESS is classified as dead and disproved at the previously recorded coordinates. While initial data provided a positional estimate, maritime surveys indicate no physical obstruction or structural wreckage remains at this location.
