The shipwreck known as the Empire Lough is an underwater obstruction located off the coast of Suffolk, England, in the North Sea. The wreck is situated at coordinates 51 5.538 N, 1 14.662 E. Historical reports suggest this site is locally referred to as the Brandy Boat. Surveys conducted in 2010 confirmed the wreck rests at a depth of 11.88 meters. The structure measures approximately 35 meters in length and 9 meters in width, with a height of 1.5 meters above the seabed. Previous site examinations have identified a mass of tangled wreckage and debris, likely caused by wartime sinking, now partially covered by sediment. The site is a well-documented maritime obstruction for navigation, with a least depth of 11.8 meters recorded over the wreckage.
