Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck located at coordinates 51 04.730N, 01 12.411E off the coast of Essex near the Thames Estuary. This underwater obstruction features a least depth of 8.16 meters with a general surrounding depth of approximately 10 meters. The wreckage measures 31 meters in length, 19 meters in width, and stands 4 meters high. The structural description suggests this may be the bow or stern section of a vessel, possibly with derricks or masts lying alongside, oriented on a 070/230 degree heading toward the ENE. The site is characterized by collapsed wreckage situated within a seabed scour, positioned near a rocky ridge. This historical wreck site is a known maritime hazard identified as a wreck with a depth of 8.1 meters.

ROCKY RIDGE CLOSE NE, PROBABLE SEABED FEATURE. INS AS WK 8.1MTRS. - NM 6023/10. 24.1.11 LOCATED 2010. LENGTH 31MTRS, WIDTH 19MTRS, HT 4MTRS. MAY BE BOW OF VESSEL WITH DERRICKS OR MASTS LYING ALONGSIDE. SOME OTHER WRECKAGE EVIDENT IN SCOUR INTO WHICH WK HAS COLLAPSED. (NETSURVEY, HI 1341). LIES 070/230 DEGS.
