15.8.83 BUILT IN 1963 BY LITHGOWS LTD, PORT GLASGOW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY CHILTON NAVIGATION LTD. PASSAGE DUBAI FOR ADEN. SUFERED AN EXPLOSION AND FIRE IN NO 4 HOLD. BLAZING VESSEL ABANDONED AFTER RUNNING AGROUND. REFLOATED AND TOWED TO FUJAIRAH ANCHORAGE ON 15.8.83. LATER TOWED TO ADEN AND THEN TO DJIBOUTI WHERE THE VESSEL WAS DELARED A TOTAL LOSS. SOLD TO PAKISTANI SHIPBREAKERS AND TOWED TO GADANI BEACH TO BE SCRAPPED IN MAY 1985. (MSD).
