BROKE DOWN DUING PASSAGE. WAS HAILED BY SS ASPEN, WHO STOOD BY UNTIL VESSEL STEAMED OFF TO THE NE. EARLY PM THERE WAS A SEVERE SW GALE. ASSUMED FOUNDERED. SEVERL BODES WERE WASHED UP ON THE CUMBRIAN COAST. (SIBI).
