The underwater wreck known as Clodmoor is located in the English Channel off the coast of Newhaven at coordinates 50 43 N, 0 0.5 W. Historical hydrographic surveys note that the vessel sank in 1917 and was initially marked for dispersal. Over subsequent decades, multiple naval search operations including sweeps by HMS Flinders and HMS Bulldog failed to locate the wreckage near the originally reported position, leading authorities to classify the site as dead and deleted from active navigation charts following intensive multibeam sonar surveys that found no archaeological remains.
